#JusticeforRoxsana Commemoration

On Tuesday, May 28, transgender activists organized a press conference on the steps of City Hall, followed by an hour-long silent vigil in Times Square (pictured) to commemorate trans woman Roxsana Hernández, who died on May 25, 2018, while in ICE custody. Oasis Latino LGBTS Wellness Center and Familia: TQLM have launched the #JusticeforRoxsana National Action Week in collaboration with other local and national organizations, to end the mistreatment of trans women in ICE custody and violence against trans women everywhere.
