Reminder to Medicare Part D Prescribers: Enroll by January to Prepare for the June 2016 Deadline

Amida Care would like to alert our providers that under federal regulation, all clinicians who prescribe Part D drugs for Medicare beneficiaries must enroll in Medicare by June 1, 2016 – and they are advised to enroll by January to avoid processing delays.

This new rule applies to every physician, dentist, resident, psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant who prescribes Part D medications for Medicare patients. Clinicians who fail to enroll by this deadline will find that Part D plans do not cover the medications that they prescribed to Medicare patients.
