Amida Care Represented at Gasparilla Pirate Festival in Tampa

Fun and fundraising went hand-in-hand recently, when Amida Care was represented at this year’s Gasparilla Pirate Festival, an annual celebration held in the city of Tampa, Fla.
Star Capital Partners, Rainmaker Capital and other sponsors hosted the Gasparilla Pirate Extravaganza, a day of family fun activities to benefit Amida Care and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Amida Care CEO Doug Wirth and Pam Iorio, President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, were on hand to speak to attendees about their organizations.
The Gasparilla Pirate Festival has been held annually since 1904 to celebrate the apocryphal legend of Jose Gaspar, a mythical Spanish pirate caption who supposedly operated in Southwest Florida.
