Amida Care President and CEO Doug Wirth Named to Crain’s Notable LBGTQ Leaders

Amida Care President and CEO, Doug Wirth, has been named among Crain’s New York Business 2020 Notable LBGTQ Leaders and Executives, published June 1. According to the inaugural feature, “Doug Wirth is all about putting the ‘care’ back in ‘health care.’” The feature details several of his accomplishments, including his service on Governor Andrew Cuomo’s task force to end the HIV/AIDS crisis in New York; his ongoing work to increase access to HIV testing, treatment and prevention; and his leadership in Amida Care’s efforts to help thousands of those with HIV to take control of their health and reclaim their lives.
The list celebrates 70 LGBTQ business professionals who have impacted New York City in major ways, by honoring their professional, civic and philanthropic achievements. It is an apt observance of Pride Month, which begins this week.
