Amida Care President and CEO Doug Wirth Selected as Crain’s Notable in Health Care

Doug Wirth, President and CEO of Amida Care, has been selected by Crain’s New York Business as a 2021 Notable in Health Care, a group of leaders “who have devoted their lives to building a healthier future” for New York City.

The health care professionals honored in the list are recognized for their work in bringing New York through the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as their numerous contributions apart from the crisis. According to the feature published in Crain’s on July 12, “These honorees have distinguished themselves through their expertise and innovation. They have shown stamina and commitment.”

In acknowledging Doug’s impact, Crain’s describes how Amida Care has “empowered thousands of New Yorkers living with HIV to take control of their health and get about the business of living their lives … Through Wirth’s leadership, Amida Care’s innovative model of care has yielded impressive health outcomes that have improved the quality of health care delivery, helped members get and stay healthy, and produced significant cost savings.”
