A coalition of expert trans and health organizations, including Amida Care, launched a new campaign about PrEP, a game-changing medication that reduces the risk of HIV from sex by 99%.

Coalition members Amida Care, Colectivo Intercultural TRANSgrediendo, Community Healthcare Network (CHN), Destination Tomorrow, NEW Pride Agenda and TransLatinx Network created the campaign to increase awareness of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention, focusing on transgender and gender-expansive communities disproportionately impacted by HIV/AIDS. The videos feature community members nominated by the coalition as PrEP spokesmodels.

The launch and press event took place in honor of National Transgender HIV Testing Day (April 18) at NEW Pride Agenda’s Empowerment Center.
