Amida Care President and CEO Doug Wirth Honored Among City & State Pride Power 100

(New York, NY –June 29, 2020) Doug Wirth, President and CEO of Amida Care, New York’s largest Medicaid Special Needs Health Plan (SNP), has been named among the 2020 City & State Pride Power 100. Pride Power honors the 100 most influential people in the LGBTQ community, in government, business, health care, journalism, the nonprofit sector, and more.
The feature published in City & State on June 29 notes, “While the LGBTQ community has won a string of policy battles, others remain hotly contested. On the front lines of these battles are many remarkable individuals who are standing up for their rights.” Doug is described as “A major player in New York’s efforts to combat HIV/AIDS, having served on Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s task force to end the AIDS epidemic by 2020.” Amida Care congratulates Doug on this recognition of his strong leadership in fighting for LGBTQ rights and health care access.
