Amida Care Proudly Participates in AIDS Walk New York

May 15 2016

Amida Care was a proud participant in the 31st annual AIDS Walk New York in Central Park on May 15. The 10-kilomenter fundraising walk raised over $4.5 million this year to benefit Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) and more than 40 tristate area AIDS service organizations. Amida Care’s team of staff, members, and their families joined 30,000 walkers in support of AIDS Walk and to demonstrate continued support for ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the NYC community and worldwide.

“Amida Care is a proud supporter of AIDS Walk New York, which raises vital funds for lifesaving programs for thousands of New Yorkers,” said Doug Wirth, President and CEO of Amida Care. “Now more than ever, we have the tools to combat HIV, and together we can take steps toward an AIDS-free New York and serve as a model for the rest of the nation.”
