Amida Care’s Legacy Report: Celebrating 20 years of Excellence in Health, Advocacy, and Care

Amida Care is proud to share our 20-year Legacy Report, AC20, which celebrates two decades of our work as a Medicaid Special Needs health Plan (SNP), advancing expert HIV, sexual health and gender-affirming care. The report tells our story – from a visionary organization with fewer than 100 members to New York State’s largest Medicaid SNP, serving more than 9,000 members. It highlights important milestones and key initiatives as well as personal reflections from members, staff, and partners who have accompanied us on our journey. AC20 offers insights into our model of care and the future of health care for underserved populations.

For the past 20 years, Amida Care has been more than just a health plan—we have been a beacon of hope, a champion for equity, and a pillar of support.  Amida Care’s mission extends beyond providing access to health care:  we aim to transform lives, foster wellbeing, and create a brighter future for lower-resourced communities, all while working toward ending HIV/AIDS.
