Deborah Steer Is Honored With Caribbean Impact Award

Deborah Steer, Amida Care Assistant Director of Integrated Care, has been honored with a Caribbean Impact Award, presented by Caribbean Life (Schneps Media). The awards ceremony took place on March 20 at Terrace on the Park in Queens.
The annual Impact Awards recognize the achievements and contributions of outstanding individuals of Caribbean background who have created the most impact in their respective career fields. The honorees are committed to creating and framing the path for incoming immigrants and inspiring generations to come.
Born in Belize, Deb has over 30 years of nursing experience, specializing HIV care. She has worked in settings ranging from HIV Day Centers in shelters to outdoor clinics in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her passion for helping others was sparked by seeing friends and family affected by HIV. Now in her 11th year at Amida Care, she remains committed to advocating for optimal health outcomes, especially for society’s most vulnerable members.
