Jona Tanguay, Amida Care’s Vice President of Medical Services & Gender Affirming Care, has been named to Crain’s 2026 Notable Leaders in Health Care. The annual list highlights senior executives, clinicians, and innovators who demonstrate significant impact, leadership, and community contribution within the New York City healthcare sector.
A leader in Amida Care’s Health Services Department, Jona focuses on transgender health and HIV prevention, providing clinical oversight to the transgender health program, which includes over 4,000 TGNB members— 40% of Amida Care’s total membership. Their work centers on holistic care, gender-affirming procedures, sexual health, and PrEP; as well as implementation of medical and quality management programs.
